The Mercer Island Schools Foundation Spring for Schools Campaign runs from January through the end of August. Under the Spring for Schools umbrella, dollars raised are critical to ensure the MISD has the financial leverage to meet its most significant needs. Each spring, the Foundation works with the District to identify funding priorities.
The Spring for Schools campaign provides the resources that help narrow the shortfall between state and local funding and the actual cost of a Mercer Island education.

The State of Washington underfunds its schools and leaves communities like ours to make up the difference. A community engaged in prioritizing educational excellence benefits us all. We encourage you to make a donation that is meaningful to your family. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated.

Below you will find the 2023 Priority Funding list.

A donation to the MISF Spring for Schools Campaign will directly fund existing essential programs throughout all schools. In addition, YOUR dollars support curricula, technology, art, music, professional development, innovation programs, teacher enrichment grants, and strategic planning.

Breakfast of Champions

Spring begins with the Spring for Schools Campaign kick-off, the Breakfast of Champions.

Everyone is welcome to join us for this inspirational showcase celebrating exceptional Mercer Island teachers, students, and programs funded by our generous community. The Breakfast of Champions supports more than 4,000 students at all six schools on Mercer Island.

Join us on Tuesday, April 25, @ 7:30 am! We invite you to become an Angel Donor, Sponsor, Table Captain, or simply be our Guest. You will want to attend this exciting event!

Pancake Breakfasts

Additionally, throughout the spring, events are held at individual schools. Look for information soon on the Pancake Breakfasts at our elementary schools.

The elementary pancake breakfasts are held before school, and traditionally there is some sort of entertainment for our students and families, such as The Reptile Guy or The Bug Chef.

Your investment will provide resources for educational excellence and place Mercer Island schools at the top of the list when it comes to providing rich, engaging experiences for every student.

MISF newsletters sent out frequently to our community share stories on how your dollars significantly impact our schools and in-depth information on programs funded through the Spring for Schools campaign.
