Mercer Island Schools Foundation relies on volunteers to help strengthen our schools and support the students, teachers, and programs that make our district exceptional.

There are opportunities to get involved throughout the year, whether you have a few hours to give or want to take on a larger role.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Helping with fundraising campaigns
  • Supporting donor outreach and stewardship
  • Assisting with the fall fundraiser: Denim & Diamonds and the spring Breakfast of Champions
  • Helping with school-based activities and community events
  • Supporting office projects
  • Sharing skills in marketing, communications, photography, or event planning

No matter how you choose to volunteer, your time makes a meaningful difference. It truly takes a community to sustain the outstanding educational experiences our students enjoy every day.

If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to Heidi Singh at heidi@misf.com.

MISF Volunteers

The main reason for my support for the Mercer Island Schools Foundation is powerfully simple.

My grandchildren are more important to me than anything.  If our financial support can provide that extra bit of counseling or allow a special event to take place, it is money well spent.  The world is changing at an ever-accelerating pace.  Education is the strongest tool we can give our children to equip them to compete in the world they will find themselves a part of.  It is not a luxury, not an extra, but a necessity to support the Foundation and our precious children.
