About Us
The Mercer Island Schools Foundation serves as the catalyst to connect the resources of the community to the identified academic needs of our Mercer Island public schools.
The Mercer Island Schools Foundation has built a collaborative partnership with the Mercer Island School District and with the community to help develop and implement a shared vision of educational excellence for Mercer Island students. Funding supports the key initiatives:
- Academic excellence, new curriculum, textbooks, classroom materials and classroom enrichment
- Professional development for Mercer Island teachers
- Student support programs.
The Mercer Island Schools Foundation works in collaboration with the School District and its teaching professionals to insure that programs funded have a high priority, broad utilization and a substantially equal distribution among all Mercer Island Public Schools.
